110 exhibitors from different parts of the country have displayed a wide range of products of silk and silk-blended items such as garments, accessories, made-ups, carpets, sarees and interior decorative items of silk and silk-blend fibres. More than hundred overseas buyers registered on the first day of the fair. A big delegation of 26 buyers came from Japan, to source silk fabrics, accessories and garments and floor coverings. The display of the exhibitors was eye-catching for buyers, encouraging them to place enquiries and orders.

Central Silk Board has put up a "Thematic Projection" of Indian Silk Industry on the theme ‘soil to silk', showing how silk worms are grown in mulberry leaves and are converted into cocoons, which are then reared into silk yarn and woven as silk fabrics.

E_up-6_foaid-m Festival Of Architecture & Interior Designing

02-03 Dec 2016, The Lalit, New Delhi: FOAID started with the idea of celebrating the glory of Indian Architecture & Design. Since its inception, it aims to create a benchmark where the stalwarts and the future designers share a common platform to discuss how the design world has transformed and innovated to create a future of spell bound figures. FOAID is a festival of creative minds to meet and discuss the new facets of the design fraternity. As the world of Architecture is growing leaps and bounds, FOAID promises to create something unique and exclusive for the industry. After covering varied topics in two years, this year we aim to touch upon topics which will focus the future of design space.

The two-day festival had a gathering of over 3,000 design professionals who actively participated in the festival. The National Conference had a power packed presence with over 400 registered delegates from across the country. The visitors were enthralled to witness the works of stalwarts which were displayed in a 30,000 sq.ft area at the Design Arena along with the latest innovative products by leading brands.

Creative elements such as fashion show and drama by the architectural students. “Art Kitab Café”, a collection of latest books on design, a blind fold paint act and many more, were enough reasons for FOAID to stand out and celebrate architecture in its truest sense. All in all the festival truly maintained the spirit of innovation, which made FOAID a grand success.
